The Grand-Orient Sword, also known as the Imperial Sword, is a divine artifact that Li Shenxiao had found in the Tomb of the Ancients ten thousand years ago.[1][2] It has many unknown abilities which can only be activated by someone with the bloodline of the Li Saint Clan. It was mentioned that Li Shenxiao was the only one to unleash its true divine might and only until it came into the hands of Li Tianming did he unleash its true might again.
After his blood and those of the Li Saint Clan's ancestors were dripped onto the sword, Tianming was able to feel a connection with the sword and was considered its new master.[3]
It was later revealed to be the weapon of the Primordial God-Emperor.[4]

The Grand-Orient Sword is a broadsword, with its hilt and body black in color and its edges a brilliant gold. The patterns on the black segment looked like the mountains and rivers of the Grand Orient Realm, while the patterns on the gold segment looked like the starry night sky. The hilt is half a meter long, and the sword itself was massive and long enought to reach Tianming's chest while stabbed into the ground.[5]

The brand new Grand-Orient Sword had a black core surrounded by gold on the edges of its blade. One side was inscribed with the sun, moon, and stars that represented the sky, and the other side had mountains, rivers, and lakes, which represented the earth. Unlike before, the imperial stars that were embedded inside the blade made it brilliantly shine like the true sword of a ruler. The stars were black and gold, matching the color of the sword itself.[6]

After his blood and those of the Li Saint Clan's ancestors were dripped onto the sword, Tianming was able to feel a connection with the sword and was considered its new master.[7] The heavenly patterns on the sword are special as they appeared in colors not present in the standard seven. When Tianming first observed the gold patterns on the light gold gate, it gave him enlightment on the Heavenly Will Stage, allowing him to develop his Imperial Will and break through to the first level.[8]
The sword has five gates within its inner world: A light gold gate, a dark gold gate, a grey gate, a black gate and a colorless that seems intangible.[8]
- The light gold gate created the grand-orient sword energy, later named as Grand-Orient Vortex, which appears as a third energy force within Li Tianming's body and contained a mysterious black savagery as well as gold domination. The gate reveals the path of a righteous and benevolent monarch.[7][8]
- The black gate's heavenly patterns are filled with murderous aura and suppression. Tianming's Imperial Will and soul is split into two and he is able to process two things at once. The Grand-Orient Sword can be separated into two three-foot long swords, one black and one gold. The gold represents righteousness and the black represents suppression.
- The dark gold gate's heavenly patterns contain the Imperial Will of the Primordial God-Emperor and allowed Tianming to easily advance in the Sky Saint Stage cultivation. The gate granted the Imperealm Sword Formation, which is an offensive formation that Tianming could incorporate into his attacks. A fifth type of energy also appeared within Tianming's saint palace which allowed Tianming to draw on its Imperial Sword Ki and Realm Sword Ki to empower himself. [9]
- The grey gate contained a stone plaque which was black on one side and gold on the other. The heavenly patterns was densely packed on it and granted him the Imperial Sword Prison. Densely packed black heavenly patterns gather on the sword's body and forms a sword-shaped prison. When a target is hit by the sword prison, it binds and seals their energy flow. Tianming can then convert the prison into Grand-Orient Sword Ki and attack the target trapped within. It can only be removed by Tianming and any attempts to break it from within or outside would kill the trapped target.[10]
- The colorless gate was the most mysterious one of of all. The first time Li Tianming got a glimpse of what was contained within, he was greatly shocked. He saw a scene that shatttered his worldview. What he saw was a giant star that appears to be the origin of nova sources. “All daos are ruled by the emperor. All daos becoming one is the imperial dao. All rivers are connected to the sea, and the emperor commands everything under the skies. This is the true emperor of all stars!"[11]
After fusing with the grade-nine Grand-Orient Sword fragment sent by "Comma Girl", Li Tianming's Grand-Orient Sword transformed. The sword had nine black and gold stars forming rings and radiating light like nine suns in the sky. Within the nine stars contains Cosmic impulses, which means there will be nine cosmic impulses contained within the star.[6]
- Flint Infernal Impulse - While only 'Flint Infernal' was releasing energy, its power had completely changed the sword. The Grand-Orient Vortex, among the first of the sword abilities Tianming had gained, infused an additional layer of energy over his astral discs. The power he had gained was similar to one a lifebound beast gave him. When 'Flint Infernal' came surging out, the Grand-Orient Vortex itself changed. The natural energy flooded deep into his albi, gathering at the vortices within and transforming them into a blend of magma. [6]
- Vapor Lightning Impulse - It looked like a sea of lightning with countless bolts that turned into dragons that roared and clashed with each other! It could blend into the Grand-Orient Vortex and be infused into the Imperealm Sword Formation, enhancing its might, or be converted into vapor lightning sword ki for direct use in combat. The Flint Infernal Impulse was of the fire aspect, while the Vapor Lightning Impulse was just as explosive, being of the lightning aspect. Lightning and fire were the fiercest aspects ever! [12]
History[]
After Li Shenxiao's passing, the sword had been passed down through the generations of Li sect masters. After the Li Saint Clan fell from grace, the sword was taken by the Onyx Sect. Then when Heaven's Elysium rose to power, they took the sword from them. The theocracy sent someone to Heaven's Elysium when the sword was taken. When they discoverd that the Li Saint Clan had fallen from grace and could no longer hold onto the realm, they devised the Realm War.[2]
During the Grand-Orient Realm Sect War, Tianming was able to comprehend the path of a sage and received the acknowledgement of the spirit(?) of the sword. The Grand-Orient Sword and Prime Tower received three radiant light that continued to multiple and saved all the innocent citizens who had been thrown into the Southsky Formation. [13]
